Pound Cake

-This is from my Papa's aunt, although I'm not sure which one!

3 sticks margarine (1 1/2 C)
1/2 C shortening
1/2 tsp salt
3 C sugar
-Cream together above ingredients
-Add 5 large eggs one at a time
-Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour
3 C flour
1/4 C water added to 3/4 C canned milk
-Fold in 2 TBSP vanilla-butternut flavoring by hand
-Bake at 325* for 1 1/2 hours in large greased tub pan. Be sure to start with a cold oven and if the oven heats slowly, the cake may need to bake longer.

~This is a family favorite and many of my siblings request this as their birthday cake. It tastes delicious warm, but loses none of it's flavor with time. :)
